MeT predicts dry weather till Feb 19

Srinagar, Feb 11 (KNO): For the second straight day, the higher reaches in north and central Kashmir areas received fresh snowfall while the plains witnessed light rainfall on Tuesday. According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the fresh snowfall occurred at multiple places today including Sonamarg and other areas. The light rains lashed the plains including Srinagar and other areas of the Valley today. Meanwhile, Director Meteorological department (MeT), Dr Mukhtar Ahmad said that generally dry weather is expected from tomorrow till February 14 while there is a possibility of light rain and snow at isolated places on February 15 & 16. Director MeT also said that on February 17, the weather would remain generally dry while generally cloudy with possibility of light rain and snow is expected at isolated places on February 18 & 19—(KNO)
